The Ooltewah Lady Owls Lacrosse Club was formed in 2017 at the behest of two Ooltewah High School students, Miranda Flanders and Maddie Raughton, after meeting Coach Scott Shepherd at a baseball game. Their persistence led to the creation of a new club sport at Ooltewah High School. Scott had coached previously in Knoxville and was excited at the chance to coach a sport he loves once again. A board was created and the rest is history.
We are a school team sport comprising of Ooltewah High School girls who want to learn and play the game of lacrosse. We are a varsity program governed by the TSSAA and Tennessee Girls Lacrosse Association and compete for regional and state titles against teams across Tennessee.
Our esteemed leader, Coach Scott Shepherd has been coaching girls lacrosse for over 10 years. His love and knowledge for the sport goes way beyond the field! Coach Shepherd collaborates with community leaders and coaches striving to grow the sport even more in our local and surrounding area.
Assistant Coach Matt Hauber is starting his first season as Asst. Coach, but has been a critical part of the team's success for the past three years. His roles have included the essential tasks of statistical management, announcing the games, as well as audio-visual direction. Coach Hauber is a great addition to the program and provides great organization and structure for the team.
Whether you are a new or experienced player, we look forward to meeting you and the 2025-2026 season!
